Interests

My research interests lie in the field of asymmetric catalysis. In particular I am interested in designing and synthesizing novel transition metal catalyst for a variety of catalytic reactions. This research involves synthesizing novel ligands (molecules to bind a metal), binding them to the metal of interest, and then investigating the complexes utility. I am also interested in kinetic and mechanistic investigations of catalytic reactions.

Outside of chemistry, I am an avid hiker and skier. I have hiked 40 of the 48 4000 footers in NH. I have also spent time in Adirondacks, Green mountains, and have taken multiple trips to the Rockies and most recently returned from a trip in the Cascades in Washington.
