Subject Areas:  logic, critical analysis, history of philosophy (Ancient, Medieval, Modern, American).

Special Interests: (1) developing the SHE (Sommers-Hornbeck-Englebretsen) logical system with arithmetical notation and line diagrams for categorical, relational, and propositional arguments, (2) epistemology and inductive logic applied to paranormal belief systems. Regularly directs studies in PHIL 298 and 498 for students wanting more advanced study after PHIL 100 or PHIL 211.
