Marianne
Salcetti,
Ph.D.,
is a
member
of the
Journalism
Department's
faculty
and
has
worked
for
daily
and
weekly
newspapers
in Kansas,
Ohio,
Colorado
and
Iowa.
Her
areas
of expertise
include
investigative
reporting
and
specialized
areas
such
as labor,
political
and
environmental
issues.
She
has
received
journalism
awards
from
Harris
News
Service,
the
Ohio
Chapter
of the
Society
of Professional
Journalists,
the
American
Bar
Association,
the
Iowa
Daily
Press
Association
and
the
Inland
Daily
Press
Association.
In
the
department,
she
teaches
News
I,
News
II,
Feature
Writing,
Public
Affairs
Reporting
and
specialized
media
topics
such
as
investigative
reporting,
consumer
and
the
media
and
environmental
issues
and
the
media. She
holds
a bachelor's
degree
in political
science
and
a master's
degree
in journalism
from
Ohio
State
University.
Her
doctorate
is in
mass
communications
from
the
University
