Research

My research has focused on rivers across the country.  These have include rivers such as the Columbia River in the Pacific Northwest and the Connecticut River in New England.  I have also traveled to and studied China's Yangtze River and the specifically, the Three Gorges Dam Project and Australia's Murray-Daring River Basin.  A new area of study is water resource capacity building in rural communities in Peru and Ecuador.

Recent research projects include:

Institutional Barriers to Dam Removal

Water Resources Capacity Building in Rural South American Communities

Sustainable River Management in New Hampshire

A study on recreators' perception of water quality in the Connecticut River.
