The Department has several major goals.  The first goal is to prepare individuals for management careers in a wide variety of organizational settings including both for-profit and non-profit enterprises. Second, the department seeks to provide students with a basic understanding of the application of technology in modern organizations through the development of computer and research skills.  Third, the department seeks to develop greater global awareness among its students by incorporating into its curriculum topics such as diversity, multiculturalism and globalism.  A fourth goal is to give students an opportunity to gain valuable management experience by encouraging students to participate in the Management Department’s internship and Small Business Institute (SBI) programs.  Through its SBI program and other faculty initiatives, the department seeks to make a contribution to the greater Keene community by sharing its knowledge and expertise with businesses and non-profit organizations in the community.
