The Keene Office of the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center strives to be a valued and available business resource for Keene and the entire Monadnock Region.  The Keene Center reaches out to more than 65 cities and towns in Cheshire, Sullivan, and parts of Hillsborough, Merrimack and Grafton counties.  Typically, the Keene SBDC office works with between 60 and 120 distinct small business clients each year providing them with no-charge confidential one-on-one business management coaching and advice.  The center also provides targeted small business training in the form of one day workshops and seminars on topics ranging from the use of financial software tools such as QuickBooks and Point Sale to workshops on understanding financial statements and building an effective business plan in day.  In addition to coaching and teaching, the Keene SBDC office participates in a variety of Economic Development activities such as founding a regional angel capital group and working with Keene State College, The City of Keene, and an SBDC client to bring sustainable bio-diesel production to the region.

          The Director of the Keene SBDC office, like his counterparts in other offices in the state, has been a small business owner, holds MBA degree, and is a certified SBDC business advisor.  With more than 30 years experience in the high technology industry, the Director of the Keene office is a specialist in the use of technology in small business and can provide valuable advice and expertise to small business needing assistance in using technology to their advantage.
