Welcome to the Music Department!

In accord with the stated mission of Keene State College, the Music Department embraces the concept that a strong liberal arts education, balanced with comprehensive training in music, will prepare students for a purposeful and fulfilling life. Our department is committed to offering every music student an education based on a high-quality curriculum, excellence in musicianship, and a commitment to develop the student’s talents and perspectives.

The KSC Music Department offers two Bachelor of Music degree programs, in music education and music performance, and five Bachelor of Arts in Music degree programs, in music technology, composition, music history, music theory, and music for elementary teachers. We offer courses for music majors and non-majors in the department, as well as numerous performing groups of all types, a dedicated team of music faculty, and many, many talented and friendly students! We are proud that all of our degree programs are fully accredited by the prestigious National Association of Schools of Music.
