The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists. -- Joan Robinson I've been at Keene State College since 1991. I enjoy teaching a wide variety of courses and grappling with complex and controversial ideas, often in the spirit of the Joan Robinson quote at the top of this page. I currently serve as Chair of the Economics & Political Science Department and the Coordinator for the Social Science major. This fall I'm teaching Macroeconomics (ECON 201), and Intermediate Macroeconomics (ECON 301). In the spring 2006 semester I will be teaching Macroeconomics (ECON 201), and Environmental Economics (ECON 340).
