Graduate Assistant , 2006 Summer Residency, and 2007 Summer Residency. Held manuscript conferences with graduate-level students in the poetry concentration, and assisted with orientation of new students.

Adjunct Professor, September 2004-present. Courses taught:
- ITW 101, Thinking and Writing. Topic: "A Blog of One's Own: Women and Authorship in the Digital Revolution." This four-credit course course examines the ways in which information technology is reshaping the relationship between reader, writer, and text, and the role of women's voices in the digital revolution.
- English 101, Essay Writing, a required four-credit course which provides students with extensive practice in essay writing, reading and responding to professional and student writing .
Additional Activities: Gave presentation at English 101 Retreat, “Helping Students to Engage with Challenging Texts.” Completed training on Blackboard course management software, PowerPoint, and constructing academic websites with Macromedia Contribute. Attended Thinking and Writing Institute, a week-long faculty development workshop for teachers of ITW 101.
FRANKLIN PIERCE UNIVERSITY (formerly Franklin Pierce College), Graduate and Professional Studies Division, Keene, NH
Adjunct Instructor, September 2003-present. Courses taught:
- IC 105 and IC 106, College Writing I and II, core requirements of the Individual and Community liberal arts program, providing an introduction to, and extensive practice in, academic writing. Sections taught in both the traditional physical classroom, and in a hybrid online/physical class format.
IC 260, The Twentieth Century, an interdisciplinary exploration of world history and literature of the 1900s. Taught in hybrid online format.
Course Conversion, December 2005:
- Sociology 210, Deviance and Social Control. Completed conversion of hybrid online course to 100% online format.
Fellow, Calderwood Writing Initiative "Writing-to-Learn Online," August 2007. A week-long workshop on using online writing to improve student engagement in subject matter and improve critical thought in student writing.
Fellow, Calderwood Writing Initiative, August 2005, a week-long series of workshops designed to help instructors improve student engagement and critical thought in writing, and to enhance teacher enjoyment of teaching.
Additional activities: Completed beginning and intermediate training and certification in online course delivery using the eCollege system, for both hybrid and 100% online courses.
NEW HAMPSHIRE COMMUNITY TECHNICAL COLLEGE, KEENE ACADEMIC CENTER, Keene, NH

- English 102, College Composition I, a required three-credit course for students enrolled in degree programs at the college, which provides instruction in writing nonfiction from personal experience and observation, as well as from library and electronic sources.

MASSACHUSETTS BAY COMMUNITY COLLEGE, Wellesley, MA
Reading/Writing Specialist, September 2001-May 2003. Provided one-on-one tutoring for students in all stages of the writing process in the Reading and Writing Center of the school’s Academic Achievement Center, and taught the laboratory component of two developmental English courses:
- Language 090 Lab, a three-credit writing laboratory complementing the four- credit Language 090, a course introducing students to reading and writing processes.
Writing 100 Lab, a one-credit writing laboratory complementing the three-credit Writing 100, a course to prepare students for English 101.
Adjunct Writing Instructor, January 2002-May 2003. Taught:
- Writing 100, the developmental English course to prepare students for English 101.

EEG Technician, 2002-2003. Performed electroencephalographic testing of patients for doctors group in small community hospital. Patient population included pediatric and elderly psychiatric inpatients, as well as adult outpatients from the community. Performed patient intake and preparation for testing as well recording.
