Author Marc Prensky was the 2006 keynote speaker for the Best Practices in Instructional Technology Faculty Grant Showcase held in April (listen). Since 2001 Prensky has challenged educators to make a fundamental shift in their teachning techniques to include the digital world of K through college students.

“As educators, we must take our cues from our students’ 21st century innovations and behaviors, abandoning, in many cases, our own predigital instincts and comfort zones,” Prensky states in ‘ Listen to the Natives’.
