An Interview with Dr. Wolf

What made you decide on Physics as a career?
Sputnik; it was a time of opportunity in science and it carried with it a hint of patriotism.

How do you see Physics relating to other career choices?
Physics is the Queen of the sciences. It impacts on all other sciences and technical fields and many other careers sooner or later.

What gives you the greatest pleasure in teaching?
Working out challenging problems.

What brought you to New Hampshire and Keene State?
Well, actually Newton's 3 laws, but in a more personal sense I do better in less populous environments.

What branch(s) of physics do you enjoy most? Why?
Mechanics and Astronomy and the History of Science.

What words of advice would you give to someone deciding whether or not to enroll as a physics student at Keene State?
We are not as well equiped as some instiutions, but better than others. However, you will receive close personal attention. Usually, because we trip over you in the lab, but we on the faculty know all our students and give them one-on-one help.
