kfd       We are proud of our department and pride ourselves in staying ahead of the changes in technology that impact us on a daily basis. KFD operates out of two fire stations, Central station located on Vernon St. and Station Two located on Hastings Ave in West Keene. Central station houses 10 pieces of apparatus including two engines, two ambulances, two brush trucks, one ladder, tanker, rescue, rescue boat, along with two HAZMAT trailers a utility truck, fire prevention truck, and three Chief officer Cars.

Station two houses, one quint, ambulance, brush truck and the fire alarm truck. KFD provides fire and rescue services from these two stations to the City of Keene, the Town of Roxbury and the North Swanzey section of the Town of Swanzey. We also provide advanced life support service to surrounding towns and Hazmat response to a three county area.

UNHCEMS has been involved with the Keene Fire Dept. since it first came to Keene State. The interaction between CEMS and the Keene Fire Department truly makes this software a community wide response tool. We've been able to train all our fire personnel and equip two engines with computers that will allow us to access the data and respond to accidents faster and with more accuracy. We hope to bring companies within the community on board. Allowing us to utilize the same software to protect every citizen and every company more effectively.
