The 68 graduating Safety Studies Seniors taking the OHST exam in the Mabel Brown Room.

On Monday, April 13, 2009 the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) Examination Director: Steven G. Schoolcraft, CSP, PE, visited the KSC campus to administer the CCHEST (Council on Certification of Health, Environmental and Safety Technologists test for Occupational Health and Safety Technologists (OHST). 

The OHST exam has been implemented as a primary program assessment tool.  Using this test allows the graduating seniors to be evaluated in comparison to a national data set.

New for Fall 2009

Dr. Nora Traviss will move from the Safety Studies program to the newly formed Environmental Sciences program at KSC

Dr. David May has been hired as a new member of the Safety Studies faculty and will begin in the Fall 2009 semester.  Dr. May is an experienced Safety educator and researcher and previously served as the Area Director of the New Hampshire office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
